Carbon Fiber Materials for Structural and Performance Applications
Carbon fiber is selected for its strength to weight ratio, dimensional stability, and resistance to fatigue. Current, Inc. offers custom layups to match different mechanical and aesthetic needs. Weaves include unidirectional, 3K plain, 3K 2×2 twill, 6K, 12K, and many more. Carbon fiber laminates are made to spec and can be customized for all applications. Phenolic and epoxy resins are available.
These materials are available in sheet form, tube configurations, and custom cut shapes. Tube configurations are convolutely wound up to 12’ in length and come in a wide variety of ID and OD configurations starting from .093” – 9.75”. Our team supports machining, trimming, bonding preparation, and assembly work to ensure each component integrates cleanly into your system.
Fabrication Support for Production and Prototyping
Current, Inc. provides cutting, routing, turning, drilling, and finishing services to streamline manufacturing workflows. Controlled tolerances support repeatability across multiple builds, and our fabrication team assists with low volume runs, specialized components, and application specific requirements. Carbon fiber parts can be prepared for bonding, mechanical fastening, or hybrid assemblies involving metals and composites.
Applications Across Multiple Industries
Carbon fiber is used in structural panels, brackets, enclosures, aerodynamic components, and lightweight assemblies. Its mechanical properties support high performance vehicles, UAVs, marine craft, industrial automation equipment, and instrumentation housings. Electrical insulation characteristics also make it suitable for electronics and test equipment.
